Camping and caravan locations come in a variety of types offering a range of styles of accommodation, from the basic tent with no facilities, to sites with drive thru that provide private ensuite, power, TV connection and more.

Details: ACT Forests is a branch of the Department of Urban Services and is responsible for the management of the 26,000 hectares of public land in the ACT.

ACT Forest manages four campgrounds throughout the ACT. Bookings are essential and sites are subject to availability.
Bring your own drinking water, and take home all rubbish. Camping areas include Wood's Reserve Recreation Area, Old Kowen Homestead Recreation Area and Blue Range Recreation Area. Both Laurel Camp Recreation Area and Blue Gums Recreation Area were extensively damaged during the January 2003 fire and will not be reopened as a campsite.
