The park provides protection for the conservation
of many species of flora and fauna. This includes vulnerable species
such as the corroboree frog, powerful owl, common bent wing bat,
yellow bellied glider and the koala. Other rare or uncommon species
including the peregrine falcon and the alpine tea tree, along with
58 sub-alpine plants are found here at the northern limit of their
distribution.
Recreational opportunities include bushwalking,
mountain biking, four wheel driving, orienteering, bird watching and
those interested in the flora and fauna of the region.
