The Northern Foreshore is located ten kms from Queanbeyan. Take the Old Cooma road south out of Queanbeyan and follow the Googong sign to the left.

The Southern Foreshore known as London Bridge, is sixteen kms south of Queanbeyan. Take the Old Cooma Road beyond the Googong Dam turnoff, take the left turn to Burra and drive on until you see the London Bridge signpost pointing you left. At the end of the road is the London Bridge car park and picnic area. There are BBQ facilities at both Foreshores.
 

There is much to do, including bushwalking, mountain biking, sailing, canoeing and fishing. The dam is stocked with rainbow trout, golden and silver perch and Murray Cod. The Foreshores provide a wildlife corridor between the Tinderry Mountains and Lake George which is a refuge for many of the flora and fauna.

London Bridge Archway is a natural arch of limestone pitted by caves, created over time by water leaking through cracks in the limestone. In a setting of native grassland and woodland, the archway straddles the Burra Creek

London Bridge Woolshed, Shearers’ Quarters and Homestead provide a visual history of farming and settlement in the area and give an insight into farming life at the turn of the century.
