Spirits of the Night

In the desert country where I was born, you can look up at the night sky and see millions of stars. The moon looks different from what it is in the towns and cities that I have been to. Then when the clouds come over, the moon shines on them and that is when the ‘Spirit Figures’ show themselves. They are good spirits from the ‘Dream Time’, looking down on us and looking after us. You can see all sorts of shapes and faces of old people still on their journey. Every night the shapes are different but they make you feel safe all the time.
