Soakages Along the Creek Beds

In the old days when there was no water, my people use to dig soakages along the creek beds. They knew where to dig, next to an old gum tree, where there would be water under the sand.

Done in the style of ‘Messy Art’, this painting depicts 8 soakages spots along known creek beds.

This is the first time the artist has done a painting on this story. With eight considered a lucky number for many people, this artwork displays some interesting thoughts.

Artwork: Soakages Along the Creek Beds (October 2008).
