We now headed south-west, the sky was heavily overcast, and we could
still see mist on the road ahead. We stopped off at Hellyer Gorge
Roadside Park. Mosses covered the ground and the trees. The trees
were huge.
We did one of the short bush walks through the park and along
Hellyer River. It is really peaceful, with just the sounds of the
forest and the rushing river. There are picnic facilities there as
well.
While we were here, we saw kookaburras and a most inquisitive
red-capped robin.
