Whale watching as a recreational activity has grown in popularity, and continues
to grow, attracting visitors from all around the world. During the peak whale
watching season, some of the coastal towns and localities are filled with the
influx of visitors to either watch from one of the many vantage points, or to
take a charter tour out onto the ocean for a closer encounter.
