For those seeking fauna as part of their tourism experience, Australia and the state of Tasmania offers a great number of ways and places to enjoy the wildlife to be found here.

There are national parks, wildlife reserves, reptile farms, conservation refuges, zoos and aquariums, the assortment and variety of places are considerable. You are not limited to just these places, as the chances of seeing wildlife in their natural environment is considerable.

Those planning a visit to Tasmania there are a number of places throughout the state to see both our native wildlife and other animals. There is the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park in Taranna; the Trowunna Wildlife Park in Mole Creek; and the Wing's Wildlife Park in Gunns Plains providing the largest collection of Tasmanian wildlife in Australia, as well as some exotic animals such as the American Bison.

The national parks and outback roads often provide a chance to see kangaroos and other animals that now call Australia home, whilst bird lovers will see all sorts of birds species throughout Tasmania, Australia.

• Wing’s Wildlife Park Tasmania is the largest wildlife/animal park that provides accommodation and displays the largest collection of Tasmanian wildlife in Australia — we breed and display the endangered Tasmanian Devil, along with the koala, kangaroo, wallaby, quoll and wombats. We are also the first park to import freshwater crocodiles and American bison into Tasmania.
