Red Spider Flower (Grevillea speciosa) • Family Proteaceae
A busy shrub that grows from 1.5 to metres in height, and often used as a screening plant and bird attracting plant in parks and gardens. The flowers usually appear from late winter through to spring, although have been know to flower at other times of the year if conditions are right.

In the wild, the plant is endemic to the Sydney region, and particularly common in open forest, heath, and on sandstone plateaus.
