Historic
Rally Association
PO Box 631, CAMBERWELL VIC 3124
Email: Online
form
Formed in 1992 by a small group of rally enthusiasts
who had noted and envied the emergence of historic rallying in
Europe and who recognised the growing interest in running typically
Australian, navigational and forest stage rallies in the popular
cars of the 50s and 60s.
The
aim of the HRA regarding vehicle eligibility is to recreate the
classic age of rallying (the 1950s and 60s) and in particular the
diversity of vehicles rallied during this period. A wide variety of
vehicles regularly compete in HRA or invited events and include Mini
Coopers, Porsches, Saab 96s, MGs, Healeys, Ford and Lotus Cortinas,
Renault R8 Gordinis, BMWs, Alpine A110s, Holdens, Triumphs, Datsuns
and Peugeots, to name just a handful. Also includes a 1968-75
category.
Starting as a Melbourne based organisation, membership now covers
most states of Australia. Meetings are held at the Caulfield RSL, 4
St Georges Road, Elsternwick (Melbourne, Australia). Check out their
Event Info link.
