Australia is a ‘sporting nation’, from their cricket, swimming, football, motor
racing, triathlon, surf carnivals, and the list goes on.
With a couple of Olympics under our belt (1956 and 2000), we have also played
host to numerous other world events, including the 3rd biggest sporting event in
the world, the Rugby World Cup (held in 2003). Other international events
include cricket, motorsports, tennis, cycling and much more.
Of course there are a great many national and local events, that attract
participants and viewers from around Australia, from the Bathurst Motor Racing, Alice Springs Masters Games, Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race,
Tour Down Under, Targa Tasmania and much more.
