The following distances are approximations between Sydney and other destinations
within New South Wales, and are by way of a guide only. We have also included
some distances between NSW locations to other major and capital cities
in other state/territories of Australia. These distances
are shown in kilometres by the most direct sealed road route. These
route can be affected by such things as maintenance and re-routing of
roads. In some cases routes can be shorten or lengthen by taking alternative
routes. These routes were based on information provided from an Australian
motoring association trip planner.
For those planning a driving holiday, it is always recommended to take maps or
a GPS for navigation. When planning your
routes there are some online resources to help you, including any one of the
Australian motoring
associations trip planners. Great resource, especially if you are using
tablets and smart phones to see where you are.
Additional resources for maps include national parks websites where they
often provide simplified maps about their parks and reserves. Some local council
sites may also provide maps for download, and pop into the local tourism visitor
centre, who can give directions, and in some cases provide mud maps etc. Of
course some maps may still be had at newsagents and service stations at your
destination. |
