Publications / Magazines / Newspapers |
|
There is a great range of publications that can be of benefit to the casual
and the experienced traveller. Some publications can be specific to
a topic that the traveller is interested in such as bird watching or
flora for their destination. Others can cover topics such as camping or 4 wheel
driving. Whilst carrying a book can be of enormous benefit, the choice is not
necessarily just restricted to the print medium, with DVDs, websites and
downloads also out there.
There are of course, also a great range of magazines and even some local
newspapers, covering a range of topics such as photography and travel
destinations. Most being topical for the region they cover, such as the
Australian Geographic and Outback Australia.
You can often pick up some great publications and media from the local
visitor centre, many having a retail outlet and even a cafe attached to them,
where you can sit down, relax and read. |
