Appin (Wollondilly), New South Wales (NSW), Australia. Named after Appin in Scotland, the village of Appin dates back to 1811, being
the fifth village in the colony. Today, in the Appin you can view several early
buildings, including the Appin Public School, which was the first school to be
built under Henry Parkes Public Schools Act of 1866.
