We are
the perfect place to base yourself while you explore the many wonders
surrounding our beautiful town. Relax with a glass of local wine in your modern
cabin after spending the day exploring the Caves... Jenolan, Wombeyan or
Abercrombie; or perhaps you have been spending some time fishing our Lake or
Rivers. Re-energise yourself before fossicking or mushrooming for our wild
forest mushrooms. Enjoy our beautiful scenery Horse Riding, or take a drive
around Mt Panorama in Bathurst.
Bushwalking and Mountain Bike riding are a favourite pastime throughout the
Forests and National parks surrounding our Township, and to cool off, enjoy the
Swimming pool complex right next door to our Park (seasonal)! We are also
adjacent to the local Indoor/Outdoor Tennis Complex, a Playground and Recreation
Reserve.
Fancy a wonderful dinner to finish off the day? We have a variety of options to
choose from. Oberon is located in the Greater Blue Mountains, only a 1/2 hour
drive to the Jenolan Caves and Bathurst.
Aside from the many activities to participate in locally, we are an easy drive
to the Zig Zag Railway at Lithgow, and the Three Sisters in Katoomba.
Oberon is 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from Penrith, 3 hours drive to Canberra
and 2 hours drive to Mudgee.
We have beautiful grassy sites that are surrounded by large trees. Our
facilities include covered BBQ area, Cooking and Washing up Areas, Laundry with
washing machines and dryer and clean amenities. Our cabins are modern, and all
cutlery, crockery etc is provided. Linen is supplied for the master bedroom and
can be hired for the second bedroom.
