Welcome to Vacy accommodation located in the Upper
Hunter Region, New South Wales
Located on the Paterson River, just over 25 km north of
Maitland, the small
township of Vacy was once privately owned by the Cory family from England, who
received some land grants in the area shortly after their arrival from England
in 1823. The township itself came into being around 1828 and by the 1870s was a
busy place with livestock, cattle sale yards and tobacco and arrowroot being
grown and processed in the area. The land was subdivided and sold in 1927.
