Montague
Island lies just
of the coast from Narooma declared a wildlife sanctuary in
1953, the island is home to many seals and fairy penguins,
guided tours of the island and its lighthouse are available
from Narooma.

each room is tastefully and individually decorated with every attention to
detail. All suites have their own spacious bathroom, and one has a spa bath.
There is a guest lounge, billiard table, library, and a wood fire for guests to
enjoy in winter. Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the lounge.
There are also refrigerator and microwave oven for guests use. Tariff includes a
gourmet breakfast which guests can enjoy on the verandah or patio, overlooking
the garden.
• Details:
The Grove consists of twenty hectares of undulating pasture which has been
mainly cleared, and thirty hectares of forest, including patches of mature rain
forest. From the top of our property there are spectacular views, including of
Montague Island. There are walks within the property which offer the chance to
see native animals in their natural habitat, and many species of bird life. We
aim to maintain the natural environment around us, and to make it readily
accessible for the enjoyment of our guests. We have planted and nurtured an
extensive garden of Australian trees and shrubs, including many less known
plants, which attract large numbers of native birds. Now the first phase is
essentially completed, we have plans for further extensions and features in the
garden.
