Pender Lea Chalets are sited on 2800 acres of bushland fronting the Thredbo River and bordering the Kosciuszko National Park. Pender Lea is very convenient to the many and varied attractions offered in the Snowy Mountains.

Our Chalets are built in the Swiss style with stained timber and log interiors, slate floors and open fireplace. Each King room has an ensuite, loft, fully equipped kitchen, dining room , lounge room, and relaxation room with Finnish Sauna and Spa with an extra shower and toilet. Included are laundry, dishwasher, microwave, modern stove, TV, Video, DVD, Austar and Stereo, underfloor heating, gold phone, blankets and Doonas. In Summer the Snowy Mountains offer an enormous variety of unique things to do and see, which is rarely found in a holiday destination. Try a holiday with us and you will be back again!

Nights are always cool and pleasant and you can select your own climate from that of the bracing high altitudes to the summer like temperatures on the beaches of the lower Snowy River. You can spend your holiday on the clear fresh water of our lakes and rivers, fish, sightsee a 1000km of ever changing scenery, see Yarrangobilly Caves, historic homestead, the Snowy Scheme or recharge your batteries strolling the Park's alpine trails or climbing Mt Kosciuszko. You can just relax or horseride in te quiet and scenic bushland of Pender Lea itself. For the keen fishermen we now have 4WD access to our 2km of Thredbo River frontage. Here the River flows deep in an isolated wilderness valley between Crackenback Peak and Ramshead.

Range in a beautiful and untouched series of pools and running rapids. In winter the Snowy Mountains are a playground for skiers. Pender Lea Chalets is on the Alpine Way only minutes away from the Skitube, which provides all weather rack rail access to Perisher Blue Ski Resort. Just a few minutes further drive along the Alpine Way is Thredbo, the other major ski resort of the Snowy Mountains with its chairlifts giving access to the highest ski slopes in Australia. Should you wish to buy something, dine out, or sample the many entertainments on offer, Jindabyne is just 10 minutes away, with every facility or service that you are likely to need.
