Region, located on the Hastings River, 19 km west of
Port Macquarie.
Logging and timber formed the basis for Wauchopes early economy and
prosperity. That era has been celebrated in the popular heritage theme park
attraction known as Timbertown, recreating the town as it was in the 1800s. |
