Located in the South West of New South Wales, Balranald is located on the
Murrumbidgee River, with Euston on the banks of the Murray River, just 80 km to
the west. Part of the Balranald Shire, other towns in the region including
Euston, Clare, Hatfield, Kyalite, Oxley and Penarie. There are a number of
attractions for the visitor including Heritage Park, which includes the visitor
centre, the Old Gaol, museum, playground and BBQ facilities. A copy of the town
map detailing the historic walk is available from the visitor centre.
Other nearby attractions include Mungo National Park (129 km north west of
Balranald), Redbank Weir (58 km north east of Balranald) and Lake Benanee (13 km
east of Euston).
