The initial 300 m of walking track to the Pinnacles passes through eucalypt
forest, shrub layers and a small section of Port Jackson pines. From the viewing
platform, the trail continues across a mainly heath covered windswept headland
with panoramic views of the ocean. The track then returns through a deeper,
richer form of plant life.
Check out Boyds Tower, originally designed as a lighthouse by Benjamin Boyd and
built in 1847.
