Cabarita Beach is one of the best areas to go board riding, most mornings from day break the board riders will be on the hill, watching, waiting for the surf to come up.

The day I was there I wandered along the beach and walked up Norries Hill, which gave me a wonderful view of the area, from wetlands to the mountain ranges then turn around and capture the pristine beaches and rolling waves of the ocean.
 

Norries Hill would be an ideal headland to view the migrating whales. Walking back down the ramp and few stairs, through an archway and short walk of Pandanus trees and Coast Banksia you will arrive at a protected and grassy picnic and BBQ area, and car park.

Cabarita Beach was the name of a housing estate development in the 60’s, developing into its own little locality, with the original name of the nearby township being Bogangar.
