Cabonne Country is in the centre of New South Wales,
only four hours from Sydney and two and a half hours from Canberra.
The word Cabonne means large. Due to its
location, it makes a good place to call base when visiting places
like Dubbo, Orange,
Wellington, Forbes,
Parkes, and
Cowra. The towns and villages of Cabonne Country include Baldry, Borenore,
Cadia, Cargo, Canowindra, Cudal, Cumnock, Eugowra, Gumble, Garra,
Manildra, Molong, Mullion Creek, Nashdale and
Yeoval. Some of the national parks in the region include Goobang National Park, Nangar National Park and Conimbla National
Park. There are many other attractions including gold panning at
Ophir Reserve, a visit to the Age of Fishes Museum as well as the
many sites of historical interests.
