Part of the Central Coast,
Terrigal is one of the popular seaside resort locations, with the Norfolk pines
along The Esplanade and its prominent headland known as The Skillion. This
prominent headland with a steep ocean facing cliff face, rises to a
lookout area that is easily accessed by a grassy area leading up from the
reserve.
Some of the most popular activities along this stretch of the Central Coast
include swimming, surfing, boating, water skiing and fishing. For those seeking
beach activity, there is 4 km of beach starting from Terrigal Beach and
extending north to Wamberal Point.
There are also some great parks and wildlife attractions for the family at
the nearby Australia Walkabout Park in Calga, the Australian Reptile Park and
Wildlife Sanctuary in Somersby, and the Wyrrabalong National Park at The
Entrance.
