Fishing and surfing are the main attractions, with
the spectacular Wooyung Beach (known as Crabbes Creek Beach in its early days)nearby. This long stretch of isolated beach is an
ideal spot to whale watch during the mid-year. Weekend markets are always on
somewhere close by. The valley region is an oasis for the local native flora
and fauna, with significant areas of rainforest. Wildlife seen in the area
include kingfishers, echidnas, platypus and the rare Little Bentwing Bat.
Crabbes Creek is close to other popular towns and destinations including Burringbar,
Mooball,
Byron Bay,
Murwillumbah,
Mullumbimby,
Pottsville, Brunswick Heads and Bangalow. Source:
