Some events happen at the same time throughout Australia, such as Christmas and
New Years Eve celebrations, ANZAC Day, Australia Day, local markets, agricultural shows etc. Some scheduled events only have approximate dates, with some dates changing
or being cancelled.

• 26th January
• A day when we
come together to celebrate Australia and being Australian. Celebrations are
nation wide.

ANZAC Day
• 25th April
• This day of
remembrance marks the deaths and sufferings of brave men and women, who lost
their lives in the fight to bring peace and harmony to the world.
It commemorates the landing at Gallipoli in 1915 (during World War I), which saw
men from two countries, Australia and New Zealand, come together and fight as
one, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
The massive loss of life, was deeply felt, and today it is a day we mark as
‘ANZAC Day: Less We Forget’. |

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve
• 24-31 December
• Capital cities
throughout Australia and many of the major cities often put on special events
such as Carol by Candlelight and New Years Eve firework display. Details can
often be found on the local council sites. |

• A great place to check out the local
arts and craft with over 150 stalls. |

Camden Produce Markets
• 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month - 7 am to 12 pm
• A great place to purchase and enjoy
the locally grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, country style baking, jams, wool
products, olive and lavender products. |

Cobargo |
Cobargo Markets
• 8:30 am to 12:30 pm - last Saturday of each month
• Held in the RSL Hall in the main street,
the markets are a great way to experience the country charm of the historic
Cobargo. |

• A great place to check out the local
wares and produce. Held at the Evans Head Recreation Reserve. |

• The Orange Farmers' Market is a
predominantly fresh food market that operates monthly at the Orange Showground,
Agricultural Pavilion or when unavailable at the Northcourt - Orange Regional
Gallery. These locations will provide a suitable environment for farmers and
food producers to sell high quality farm-origin and associated value-added food
products directly to customers. |

• The Heritage Craft Fair is an
immensely successful pure craft fair with 250 stallholders, all personally
producing unsurpassed Australian quality crafts from the classic to
contemporary. No mass produced, second hand or imported items in this haven to
the craft skills of yesteryear. |

Sunday of each month
• In 1910, Norco built a butter processing plant in
the town, but this failed during the 1930’s. Today, the site is now the
Uki Markets offering local produce and wares. |

old wares, arts and crafts, bric-a-brac and local produce. |

For a free listing within the events section and on the specific town/city page,
you need to be a regular annual event held in Australia. When sending us your
details, you need to provide the:
- name of the event
- organisation in charge of the event
- event date or approximate date ie 3 day event late October
- web site address for further information on the event
- location of the event ie Parkes Showground
- contact details including telephone, freecall number, fax, and email
(where applicable)
- a general brief description of the event.
- name of the person requesting the listing and contact number
