Forster-Tuncurry are often talked about as one town, with Tuncurry being just to the north. A great place for a summer getaway, Forster is surrounded with water.

There is Wallis Lake, famous for its oysters and fishing, to the west and the surfing beaches of the ocean to the east. Further south is Myall Lakes, a great place to enjoy boating activities such as waterskiing and fishing. There is also great fishing at Seal Rocks.
