Khancoban - Snowy Mountain and Victorian Alps Townships and Localities
Nestled in the foothills of the western face of the Snowy Mountains is the township of Khancoban. Originally built to accommodate workers and their families during the construction of the Snowy Mountains Scheme, it is now beautifully landscaped with trees and parks. Close to many popular trout streams, it is an ideal location for fishing, boating, white-water rafting, canoeing and waterskiing. Whilst here check out the spectacular views from Olsen’s and Scammel’s Spur Lookouts.

Check out our listing of Snowy Mountains accommodation. In addition to our listed online travel guide information, contact the local tourism visitor centre for your destination for more attractions, tours, local maps and other information.
