Located at the southern end of the famous Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst, McPhillamy Park
provides great views over Bathurst and the surrounding farms. It is particularly
beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The park is named after Walter McPhillamy,
whose grant in the 1930s provided the council of the day a large area of
parkland at the top of what was then known as Bald Hill, for viewing and tourist
facilities. It is now one of Bathurst's most famous corners, being the highest
point of the race, as well as the entrance to McPhillamy Park. Check out our
