Murrumburrah - Cities, Towns and Localities
Only 3.5 hours by road from Sydney and 1.5 hours from Canberra, Harden Shire, that includes Murrumburrah is a picturesque region, that is also steeped in history, Murrumburrah being one of the earliest settlements in the south west.

Declared an historic village in 1990, Murrumburrah still retains some its historic charm, and together with the twin town of Harden is located close to both the Canberra region of the ACT and the Riverina region of south-west NSW.

Murrumburrah Attractions

Harden Murrumburrah Historical Society Museum
• Old School of Arts Building, Albury St (Burley Griffin Way), MURRUMBURRAH NSW 2587
• Ph: 02 6386 3522 (Darren Sargent - Curator)
• Opening hours are 10.30 am to 4 pm Saturdays and 1 pm to 4 pm Sundays or by appointment.
• Displays include local history artefacts and theme areas such as railway, chemist shop, blacksmith shop, kitchen circa 1900s, tools and farming, clothing, gold mining, school room, musical instruments and Light Horse.
