Situated 560 km
North West of Sydney, on
the banks of the Namoi River, Narrabri
comes from the Aboriginal word meaning Forked Waters. As part of
the Narrabri Shire, it is a great place to base yourself when
visiting the local area. With the magnificent Mount Kaputar National Park as a
backdrop, Narrabri is a great place for those wanting to get back to nature.
There is also the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) at the Paul Wild
Observatory, or for those more sport-minded a host of facilities including an
Olympic size pool, tennis courts, bowling club and 18 hole golf course.
