There are many great reasons to visit the Narrabri Shire, located in the ‘Big Sky Country’, with Mount Kaputar National Park, a must visit with its magnificent views, bush walks, native flora and fauna, and camping facilities.

Yarrie Lake is a circular lake about 1.5 km across and only 10 km south-west from the popular CSIRO Australia Telescope. Other attractions include the Pilliga Nature Reserve and Keepit Dam, whilst the Nandewar Range to the east include some popular gem and rock fossicking areas.
