Located on the southern shore of Port Stephens, Nelson Bay is the oldest of the
villages in the region and overlooks Nelson Bay and Little Nelson Bay. East of
Nelson Bay, along the coastline is Dutchmans Bay, Corlette and Salamander Bay.
West is Shoal Bay and beach, then heading around Tomaree head, you lookout to
the Tasman Sea. With the scent of salt air from Port Stephens, this wonderful
region offers plenty of aquatic based activities, from dolphin and whale
watching, fishing, cruises, surfing, swimming, or just lazing on the beaches.
With Tomaree National Park
extending from Fishermans Bay to Shoal Bay, there are plenty of nature
activities that include bush walks and exploring the park.
