Only 15 km south-east of Taree, is the coastal village of Old
Bar. Located on the southern entrance to the Manning River and in the
Manning Valley region, it has a
good surfing beach, estuary fishing, good picnic areas, and offers
an idyllic place to relax and visit the surrounding areas.
Saltwater and Manning Point are nearby, with Saltwater Beach, a popular local
surfing destination, and there is a safe lagoon for young ones. Manning Point,
on the Manning River estuary, is also a great place for surfing, swimming and
fishing.
