Orange Attractions and Events - Cities, Towns and Localities
Orange is well known for its four distinctive seasons and abundance of fresh produce, which is celebrated in it's annual F.O.O.D event. Other attractions include the fantastic 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside from Mount Canobolas.

As well as Mount Canobolas and Lake Canobolas, visitors can enjoy the Orange City Heritage Trail that takes in the Holy Trinity Church of Orange (1879) and Duntryleague (1876). Also of interest are regional galleries, gardens and parks (including the Orange Botanical Gardens), the many wineries and Ophir Recreation Reserve, where Australia’s first payable gold was discovered in 1851.

Check out some of our listed attractions.

Pick up the City of Orange Cook Park Heritage Walk brochure describing all the main features of the park.

The building was pulled down in 1882 when the present neo-classical building designed by Colonial Architect James Barnet, was built. It was completed in 1883.
