Located in Pittwater, in the northern region of Sydney and it's northern beaches
region is Avalon and Avalon Beach.
A popular region that encompasses Palm Beach and Whale Beach, it is a
favourite spot for many Sydneysiders seek a weekend getaway that is within easy
reach from the heart of Sydney, especially as it also has a bus transit link.
Whale Beach and Palm Beach are north of Avalon, from there the peninsula
ascends up to the dramatic Barrenjoey Head
land,
with the Barrenjoey lighthouse situated on top and dominating the area. The Pacific Ocean
lies on the eastern side of the
peninsula and 11 km of inland waterways called the Pittwater on the west, along
with the
Kur-ring-gai
Chase National Park, it is a stunningly picturesque
location.
