Perisher Blue

About six hours from Sydney via Jindabyne by car, Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes are one of the four ski resorts comprising Perisher Blue, the largest of the ski resorts in the region.

Perisher is 1,680 m above sea level and the transit point for the Skitube Alpine Railway. It offers a huge 1,250 ha of skiing terrain across the four resorts of Perisher, Smiggins Holes, Blue Cow and Guthega, and are served by the Skitube, ski trails and chairlifts.

Perisher Valley SkiingAltogether it has a 50 lifts, a massive downhill ski area of over 1,250 ha and 104 km of cross country trails. This is skiing on a grand scale with plenty of accommodation, convenient access by the Ski-tube underground railway from Bullocks Flat. There is continual improvements and expansion and for the beginners there is good skiing at Smiggins and on Perisher’s Front Valley.

Outside of the winter months, Perisher has few facilities that are open to the public, but does offer access to a number of scenic alpine walking trails.
