Sydney may be a sprawling metropolis covering over 5,000 square kilometres, but it is also a haven for some of our flora and fauna. From the national parks, reserves, and botanic gardens, through to people's back yards.

Even in the heart of Sydney, there are areas where the wildlife can be found and we are not talking humans.

Some of the bird life that have been sighted in and around Sydney parks and gardens areas include:

Australian White Ibis, Seagulls, Pigeons, Currawongs, Noisy Miner, Crested Pigeons, Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo, Rosellas, Rainbow Lorikeet, pink and grey Galah, Long-billed Corella, Red Wattle Bird, Diamond Python, Diamond Python, Tawny Frogmouth Owl etc.
