Development includes the largest snow making system in the southern hemisphere, the Merrits Spur development and the Australian Institute of Sport High Altitude Training Centre. The resort boasts an array of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including skiing, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, shopping and historic bars.

Attractions and activities both in winter and summer include: skiing, bob sled and snowboarding, golf, bush walks, horse riding, trout fishing, tennis, mountain bike riding and white water rafting.
