Located close to the rim of the
largest extinct shield volcano in the the world is the rural village of Tyalgum.
Less than 30 minutes drive from
Murwillumbah
or 45 minutes from Queensland Gold Coast, the village is centrally located to a
number of nearby national parks, including Mount Warning National Park.
Tyalgum is home to the Tyalgum Store and Post Office, the Tyalgum Pub, a number
of shops and galleries, and the popular Flutterbies Cottage Cafe. It also stages
the famous annual Tyalgum Festival.
