Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge has several powered sites for campervans and the
self accommodated, and an area for camping. The camp ground borders Jimmy Creek
monsoon forest. BBQ facilities are available for self catering.

The lodge offers a variety of accommodation with comfortable facilities
including a licensed saloon bar and bistro.

River Wetlands 2 hours drive east of Darwin via the Arnhem Hwy.

from it’s magical monsoon forests, to dense mangrove habitats, lush floodplains,
tidal rivers & billabongs, makes this area a wildlife observers and fishers

the layout of our caravan park is very informal, you can choose your own spot.
Stay hitched up to your caravan if you want. Campfires are allowed in the
riverside unpowered campground. Sorry, no generators please! The Little Roper
River borders our park so our guests can camp right on its banks and enjoy the
natural bush setting. The Caravan Park has powered sites.

up to 5 people. Linen and towels are included and the cabins are fully appointed
with television, microwave, stove, cooking utensils and a large fridge -

you can walk down for a swim whenever you like.

Mataranka Homestead was established in 1916 by Dr Gilruth, the administrator of
the Northern Territory, as an experimental sheep and cattle station. The real
pleasures began when the homestead opened its doors to become the first
self-contained resort in the territory; with guests returning alongside our
migration birds to one of Australia’s most beautiful and tranquil waterways. The
unique spring fed Thermal Pool, within a lush tropical rain forest of luxuriant
palms, maintains 34 C and flows at 16,495 litres per minute (5 million gallons
per day). Mataranka Homestead’s neighbour, Elsey National Park, borders the
majestic Roper River with its crystal clear waters and cascading falls.
