peaceful riverfront camping in a beautiful bushland setting. The park offers you
a chance to enjoy some peace and quiet, go bird watching (over 100 varieties),
bush walking, and enjoy the clear tranquil river with its natural spas and
thermal pools. The fishing is good, the bushland magnificent, the peace
unforgettable. At dusk, the sky is filled with all the beauty of natural colour.
Abundant wildlife with bandicoots and wallabies coming to feed at the end of
each day.
To get here: northbound, turn left off the Stuart Highway 7 km north of Hayes
Creek or southbound, 47 km south of Adelaide River on an all weather
sealed road, accessible all year round.

secluded bush camping sites for the feeling of being the only people around! Powered and unpowered sites (generator power)
are scattered amongst the mulgas. Tent hire available.
• Facilities:
there is a bush shelter in the park with a barbeque, sink, tables and chairs,
suitable for groups or large family functions.

air-conditioned cabins with self-contained kitchen and close to amenities (bookings essential).
There is also an air-conditioned on-site van available.
• Details:
Gemtree is located 140 km north-east of Alice Springs, with bitumen road to the
front gate!. Nestled amongst the native bush of the Plenty Highway. Set on 250
acres the park has a nature walk, bush golf course and fish to be caught in the
billabong (although to small to be eaten).
• Pets:
pets are welcomed, but please mention your pet when you book, so we can place
you accordingly. Please pick up after your pet and keep them on a leash in the
park.

our Oasis on the Tanami . a wide variety of activities, all set on a working
station.

allowed under owner control, provided they remain in the camping ground.
Swimming pool area is strictly off-limits to pets.
