The Alice Springs Desert Park is located at the base of the magnificent
MacDonnell Ranges,
with views of Mount Gillen, that form the end part of this escarpment. With
hundreds of species of plants and animals found across Central Australian
deserts, the park provides the opportunity to experience desert habitats and
view some of the wildlife, both day time and nocturnal, that is near impossible
to see in the wild.
As well as the magnificent scenery and desert habitats, visitors can enjoy
the free-flying birds of prey show in the nature theatre, the spectacular
nocturnal house, local guides talks, exhibition centre and then enjoy some
refreshment in the cafe. |
