Centralian Blue Tongue
(Tiliqua multifasciata)

Named after the distinguishing feature of a ‘blue tongue’, the Centralian Blue Tongue are the largest members of the skink family (Scincidae). Australia has seven species of blue-tongued lizards.

The Centralian Blue Tongue, also known as the Central Blue-Tongue Skink is found throughout the semi-arid to arid red sand-plains, sand-dunes, stony hill spinifex regions, stretching from Western Australia, Northern Territory, far north South Australia and outback Central Queensland.
