Olive Pink Botanic Garden - Cities, Towns and Localities

Red-capped Robin (Petroica goodenovii)

This active and smallest of the red robins, with its crimson cap and breast can often be seen darting from tree to ground to shrub to ground and then to another vantage point. Perched on its vantage point, it will often give quick little flicks of the tail and wings.

With its ticking cheery trill, it can be seen often fossicking on the ground and amongst the litter, flushing out insects.
