Aquatic Activities in Central Australia - Cities, Towns and Localities
Although Central Australia is an arid region, there are often many opportunities for swimming, boating, paddling, or just relaxing by the waters edge.

Central Australia has a number of permanent waterholes, providing a place where you can dip your toe in the water, so to speak.

For many tourist, one of the highlights in the region is a visit to Watarrka National Park, with the renowned Kings Canyon and the ‘Garden of Eden’. Many a tourist has made the ascent and descent down into the garden, with its welcoming pool of water.
