Alice Springs Wallaby Feeding at Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge - Cities, Towns and Localities
Wallaby Feeding
at Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge

The Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge is located at the southern entrance to Alice Springs, the junction of the East MacDonnell and West MacDonnell Range. As well as accommodation and tavern/bistro, a popular activity and attraction is the Wallaby Feeding at sunset. Special feed is available for purchase from the Reception.

Care should be taken when hand feeding the Black-footed Rock Wallabies (Petrogale lateralis), as they are wild animals, and some adult animals may be over enthusiastic when nibbling the feed from your hand.
