White Paper Daisy
Rhodanthe floribunda
(formerly Helipterum floribundumAlso commonly known as White Everlasting, Large
White Paper Daisy and Common White Sunray, this much-branched many-flowered
daisy can measure between 10 to 30 cm high, often found forming clumps that can
measure up to 1 metre across. The flower heads appear on short leafy branches,
measuring 10-20 mm across, hemispherical, with spreading white petal-like papery
bracts and yellow centre. The
White Paper Daisy can be found growing in a variety of soils and habitats, often
being admired by tourism as they drive pass them growing off the side of the
roads and highways. |
