Wild Flowers of Central Australia
Wild Stock
Blennodia canescens

These white sweet scented flowers are members of the cabbage and stock family. An annual plant that grows about 20 cm tall, the flowers are on upright stems in clusters, has four petals, usually white, although there are also pink or lilac variation.

The seed capsule is a narrow cylindrical pod with a beaked end, pointing out and upward from the stem.

The flowers are often seen in mass flowering after good winter rains, often with yellow and white daisies types.
