Chambers Pillar Historical Reserve - Cities, Towns and Localities
This huge sandstone pillar known as Chambers Pillar (the Aboriginal name is ‘Itirkawara’), is the prominent rocky feature that towers over 50 metres above the surrounding plains, providing an obvious landmark for the early pioneers traversing the landscape through this region.

At sunrise and sunset, the Pillar glows like a burning ember as the rays of the sun strike its sandstone walls.

From the lookout, you gaze across the flat arid landscape all around, with flat top mesas in the distance.
